Wandsworth
The parts we identify as Wandsworth are the patches to the south of East Hill, The Tonsleys and the Magdalen Estate to the west of Trinity Road, heading towards Earlsfield. The East Hill area combines wide terraced properties with substantial Victorian mansions on Westover Road and Earlsfield Road. By contrast the Tonsleys have smaller charming cottages close to the Thames and the small but attractive parade, Old York Road with a lovely pub, The Alma, at its centre.
Nearby Wandsworth Town mainline station heads straight to Waterloo and west through Richmond the other way. There is excellent road access onto the A3 and into Fulham/Chelsea over Wandsworth Bridge whilst good bus services connect to all areas.
The Magdalen Estate comprises wider 20s and 30s properties popular for their substantial gardens and easier parking facilities. Schools include Allfarthing and Beatrix Potter primary schools.
